Sony has announced plans to create its own blockchain
Sony Network Communications, a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate, announced a partnership with Startale Labs to develop a new blockchain network. To this end, the two companies have entered into a joint venture agreement that aims to make the new blockchain the basis of the global Web3 infrastructure.
Startale is a Singapore-based company with experience in working with Web3 infrastructure and developing innovative products needed to enable Web3 adoption. Startale was previously part of Astar Network before becoming a separate new company.
Fraudsters hacked Vitalik Buterin's Twitter
Hackers attacked the X account (formerly known as Twitter) of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. They posted a fraudulent ConsenSys link, scamming unsuspecting subscribers out of almost $700,000. The hackers used a typical modus operandi: the link allowed them to gain access to the wallets of unsuspecting subscribers, resulting in the loss of nearly $700,000 in NFT assets.
Telegram added the TON Space crypto wallet
Telegram and the TON Foundation jointly announced a new wallet called TON Space on Wednesday at the Singapore cryptocurrency conference Token2049, which was attended by more than 10,000 people. Since the collapse of FTX, the crypto community has undergone a major reckoning with the need to use self-custody wallets over centralized ones, where users have no control over their digital assets.
The wallet is developed by The Open Platform (TOP), which includes the wallet development team and the TOP Labs division, which works closely with the TON ecosystem and has a portfolio of TON-based applications.

The company assured customers that this event only affected Paxos' corporate operations and that customer payments were secure and unaffected.
